The Master Food Volunteer program provides continual education to those interested in food safety, science, preparation and preservation.

Master Food programs typically consist of 40 hours of training taught by extension and industry professionals as well as previous program graduates. Following the educational portion of the program, participants will then contribute at least 40 hours of volunteer service into their community.

Those best suited for the program should…

  • Live in the county in which you will volunteer
  • Be available for at least 40 hours of training classes
  • Be committed to donating at least 40 hours of approved service back to the community
  • Have a least a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Be able and willing to travel to a training site for all classes
  • Be willing to share their love of food through various projects and events
